Memorial Day 2010

we have never really done anything other than lay around or go shopping so this year we went to the Dearborn Parade it was pretty fun...

at first Eva was grouchy because i wouldn't let her bring her stinking barbie...

...so of course Cora had to be "extra excited" to make her sister look bad...

she eventually cheered up...

they loved the Firemen! They even got one of them to honk the big horn on the firetruck...

scared the crap out of Cora...

somebody loves to jumprope...

she prefers this huge adult size rope that she is constantly tripping over....

yes, this is the girls bedroom... and no, i don't plan on picking it up today.. :)

i will probably make them another set of matching dresses that they can add to the pile (i can see at least 4 outfits that i made on the floor right now)

these are from the last 6 months... i think they got their "crazy sleeper syndrome" from daddy

Cory told me last night to hurry up and get the camera... i moved her after i took the picture and a few mins later she just moved back...

yes, she is "in" her backpack...

she is totally, completely, asleep and still "playing barbies"

notice 30+ "hairstyle emergencies" on her wrist,

a stuffed cheeta in her easter hat, 

and her pillow dressed in her outfit from that day...

there were SO many stuffed animals on her bed that when she stretched she almost fell off! thank goodness i was taking pictures when she did so i could shove her back to the center...

whats funny about this pic is that I sleep like this!

my kids think they need "pillows" (sponge rollers)

and "blankets" (socks, at least they were clean)

the girls honestly don't think i know that they are playing with their pets when they are supposed to be sleeping... the rule is no pets in bed... they never listen to their mom...

how do you fall asleep like that? it sucks cause it doesn't even bother him when i post stuff like this... i mean, i would DIE if he even posted a pic of me without mascara on.. (i know i am vain)

Utah is way too far away for YaYa to live and once a year is not often enough to visit, Eva will often have a mini 7 yr old meltdown about how much she misses her YaYa!

Cora came in the house one day screaming "Mommy! something is wrong with Bills car!" (Bill is our next door neighbor) she had never seen the hood of a car open... when i explained that he was fixing his car she said, "oh, well i better help him"

so he let her help (bless his heart, he is so patient)
