a typical "lemonade" stand...

 ...but sadly, no one came...

so they had a new idea....

 heck ya, two bucks baby!

 earned $2.50 each for college... not bad for a days work...

a pretty nutty spirit week...

Day 2:

"Farmer Day"

aka The-impossible-task-of-finding-man-sized-overalls-and-ultimately-ending-up-staying-up-all-night-to lengthen-the-straps-on-a-womens-pair Day

Day 3:

"farm animal day"

aka Big-pain-in-the-butt-for-parents-to-scramble-for-costumes Day

 Day 4:

"Crazy hair Day"

aka scour-the-internet-for-ideas-that-will-rival-daddys-and stay-up-braiding-hundreds-of-silly-bands-into-kids-hair-until-fingers-cramp Day

 daddy still had the best hair.... what was left of it.

day 1 and 5 were just pajama day and school spirit day... 2 days where i could actually rest.

a fluffy pink lump...

 hmmm.... i wonder what this lump could be?

 those toes do not look like Eva or Cora's...

oh! its my big honkin husband snuggling with a couple of kitties, resting his head on a pillow pet, warm and toasty under a fluffy pink blanket...

just another sunday afternoon nap...

hard to believe that this...

grew up to be this...

 and did this...

...to our car...

 yep its true... quite an arm on that kid... too bad when she was trying to show her friends her amazing softball pitch {never played a game of softball in her life} she happened to be showing them with a rock and happened to release the ball  rock a pinch early...

 blessing in disguise: there was a whole line of cars at that party and she happened to hit ours...

miracles happen.

hey, we are still smiling... windshield  replaced and ready for our 30 hour drive to UT

{don't worry, we really replaced it!}

little water fountains...

i told those little monsters to go pick me some peonies for the kitchen table and this is what i get...

a giant peony explosion in our tiny wading pool...

... laugh it up little monster, you guys are SO funny...

 "but mommy, i just wanted to pretend to be a water fountain"

can't really argue with that logic.

 of course Cora wanted in on all the fun...

 and daddy was MORE than happy to help her out with that...

this is what a great weekend looks like...

the first thing i noticed when these monsters came back from a weekend with Granny and Papa at the lake, was that somebody grew... and somebody shrunk..

{or they were just wearing eachothers dresses}

"no time to worry about that mom, we were too busy catching frogs..."

 crazy hair, grubby feet, dirty finger nails chocolate mik stained dresses...

i don't know about you, but that is all an indication of a serious good time!

when i noticed the dresses i said,"let me see those tags!"

{while getting a close up of that beautiful hair}

and i found this...

whoops... backwards too

you couldn't wipe the grins off the faces of these filthy happy children...

who would want to! 

and summer is just beginning, there will be many more days of dirt and sun and backwards outfits!

i can't wait!

long overdue...

i am still not sure why he was wearing my beads in the first place... but they really go well with the fuzzy pink heart blankey... don't you think?

Cora's latest pastime has been working on her culinary skills...

she trains with the best chefs at the Foodnetwork Culinary Institute

...located right in our very own living room...

sometimes even Bobby Flay is her instructor...
