disaster

Seriously...... what is my problem.... today i wore red Christmas jammies, ALL DAY. The really sad part is that it wasn't because i was getting into the "holiday spirit" i just haven't changed my clothes in 24 hours. I stink. My hair is a tragedy. My church eyeliner is creeping down my face. I ate crackers for breakfast. Cora made her own lunch, she's 3 1/2. I am a complete pathetic mess. I don't even have any crazy pills to take the edge off, if someone makes a tapping sound too loudly they get the look of death. I even tried listening to "soundscapes"(that new age station on my tv), it just made me zone out and do even less than nothing.... this is the first winter in a few years w/ out medication, i am not sure how i feel about that. I would take a picture of myself for a laugh but most of you know i am entirely too vain for that kind of comedy.... sigh.....

i am sure "that" me smells better than "this" me....

7. found out my 7th chakra or "crown chakra" is closed...
8. didn't do the laundry or dishes..

Cory made me get in the picture, we didn't do any of this ourselves although Cora and I did give the window guys juice boxes... its pretty awesome to be able to open our windows now... the windows that were torn out were 65 years old! 

as for the roof... i am shocked we didn't get snowed on all winter, its a total miracle that it didn't leak! its amazing what paint, windows and a new roof can do, she looks a good 30-40 yrs younger! 

my kindergartener has a shiner...

So my beautiful child looks like she got in a fight with the school bully, but in reality she was playing an innocent game of "kitties" gone wrong. The run in was with her sister's big head and her eye blew up to the size of a golf ball! i really thought it was gonna blow up! she ran to me crying and said "i can't go to school tomorrow, everyone will think i look ugly!!!!" not once did she say that it hurt! that child was so concerned that she kept that ice pack on her face for like 24 hours! i let her stay home for a day and when it was time to go back to school i did the only thing i knew how to do..... makeup.... not to cover the black eye just to 'match' the other eye... i know she's in Kindergarten but i didn't know what else to do! i sent a note to the teacher explaining myself, i just prayed they wouldn't send her home for wearing makeup to school....

So, my girls love each other so much that they decided to sleep in the same bed... a twin bed is a little small for two people (even two little people) so we put the beds together to make a 'king-ish' size bed so they would have more room.... didn't make much of a difference to them.... ENJOY!

i just love these pics, although not recent, they remind me that the grass is green somewhere under all that damn snow.... i am having a rough winter, i think i need one of those sun lamps or stronger drugs...new shoes? ok now i'm more depressed because even if i found fabulous shoes i couldn't even wear them!!!!!!!!

"baking" cookies...

So, like a good mommie i told the girls we could bake Christmas cookies.... (and by "bake" i mean buy the sheets of dough and let the girls cut them out) So after they cooled off we start frosting them and adding gobs of sprinkles (canned frosting , of course) suddenly Cora accidentally broke a piece of her cookie off and say's "oh DAMN IT" she doesn't even look up from what she's doing! Cory and I looked at each other with our eyes bugged out of our heads and said to her "what did you say?" and she says "i said oh damn it" like what are you deaf... after Cory and i stop laughing we ask her where she heard that word (i was prepared to be busted) and she said "Syd" (check out syd's blog "forever young") at this point Cory and i were dying we were laughing so hard! Syd, you were totally busted, although we both know thats not the first place she heard that
