special treasures...

i had the chance to go to Southern CA to perform with the Michigan Concert Choir at the end of Aug. it was super fun, but the best part was visiting Family... especially my GRAMMY!!!!!

she is the best... it was so fun spending time with her!

she sent me home with all kinds of special treasures for the girls...

 for christmas Grammy sent me my favorite treasure that i used to love to play with when i was a little girl, turns out Cora loves it as much as i did...

 she is so gentle with every thing... and so fascinated, just like i was.

she loves to open every little box and see whats inside...tiny little spools of thread... buttons... so much fun.

why do i bother with a title...

what would i do without this adorable man and his crazy sleeping style?

Tears...

last night the girls and i were saying our prayers and it was Cora's  turn... she starts praying about crazy stuff so decided to help her a little... i said " please bless the people with no food, that they will be fed..." and "please bless the people with no home that they will find shelter" by the end of the prayer i notice that tears are streaming down her sweet face. i ask her why she is crying and she tells me "i don't want anybody to not have food or shelter.." at this point she begins to sob. i was like "honey, thats why we pray... so Heavenly Father will bless those people in need and we can be grateful for what we have been given.."
totally didn't help, she cried for 20 more minutes... thank goodness my mom called, i put her on the phone and they "talked about it" YaYa asked Cora if she believed Heavenly Father and she said "uh-huh" then she told her not to worry because he heard her prayer and would help those people in need. what a tender heart that child has. she is so goofy most of the time that i forget just how sweet she is.

2nd Grade!
